Come join the Roper Pump Racing Team
for NOPI NHRA Drag Racing !!!
Roper
Pump Racing was founded in 2005 when NOPI Unlimited Street Champion
Dan Dixon joined forces with Roper Pump. Dan started his racing
career in Texas in the late 1990’s, honing his driving
skills at local events while experimenting with both domestic
and import street cars. In 2003, Dan moved back to Georgia and
converted his 1993 Toyota Supra into a 10-second drag car. Atlanta
Dragway became his second home on the weekends.
At the end of 2005, Dan teamed up with Roper Pump and began
competing professionally in the NOPI / NDRA series. In his first
year as a professional driver, Dan piloted the Roper Pump Racing
Supra to 3 wins and a 3rd place finish in the highly competitive
2006 NOPI Turbo Street Class.
After a 3rd place finish in 2006, Dan never looked back, winning
4 of 8 events in 2007 and capturing the Unlimited Street Class
Championship title, leaving a record run of 8.55 @ 167 MPH in
his wake.
Roper Pump Racing is looking forward to another great season.
For the
2008 NDRA Series we are pleased to welcome Sam Mahdavi of
Mahdavi Motorsports to the team. In 2005, Sam took home the
NDRA EXEDY TURBO 6 Sportsman Championship. He finished runner
up in the 2006 Turbo Street Division to GM. He holds the quickest
elapsed time for a stock automatic Supra, and also the quickest
elapsed time on 35 Series Drag Radials. This is his fourth season
racing in NDRA. |
